Because ALS affects the central nervous system and makes it difficult for
the muscles to receive messages from the brain there would become a
time for Dan that he would no longer have use of muscles.

He was quoted as saying "when I can 't play anymore, then I will go." the disease eventually left him unable to speak and unable to play guitar.

On Feb. 25, Toler passed away in his sleep after his two-year battle.

"It is with great regret and sadness that our dear friend and loved one, Dan Toler, passed away peacefully last night in his sleep. Please keep Debbie and the family in your prayers. Also at this time, the family asks that you would respect their privacy. The Toler family thanks you all for your love and support. God Bless you all."


Dan has always been a good friend to so many. He will be missed.

The Memorial Services were held Saturday March 9th 2011 at 1:00pm

and was beautiful and very moving. So many friends gathered to hear such great stories and remember Dan.
